This area is located 5 minutes south east of Nanaimo on Hwy 1 heading south located in the tranquil and picturesque countryside of the east coast of Vancouver Island, on a broad forested peninsula that juts out into the water of Stuart Channel in the Strait of Georgia, with few great diving spots. There are conveniences such as corner store, Cedar Village Square grocery centre, liquor store, pub and gas stations. There is rich heritage history still seen to this day in the parks and trails.
Residences range from impressive waterfront contemporary and farmhouse style to cottage charming. The rolling landscape of rural area mostly undeveloped consists of mostly acreages and large residential properties, producing farms and B&B’s/RV resorts, which provides all the pleasures of country living will close proximity to Nanaimo Airport YCD and town. This area is seeing some change with new developments popping up as the nearby city of Nanaimo expands. This is a very quaint area with a definite country lifestyle feeling.
