Central Nanaimo is sometimes referred to as the hospital area. Several general practice and specialized medical clinics cluster around this neighbourhood. This area also offers various malls and plaza’s having all your shopping needs conveniently located throughout the community. What draws families to this area is the recreation facilities and park areas abroad. These parks offer something for everyone.

The neighbourhood culture is friendly, with a down-to-earth environment. Properties are affordable and homes are varied, most properties have decent-sized yards with mature foliage. There are also some apartment complexes, old and new. This region is very heterogeneous in terms of home styles and neighbourhood traits. Although it’s a very central part of town, there are some very quiet neighbourhoods, characterized by split-levels from the 1980’s and 90’s.

This area is pretty, convenient, and the location is about midway between downtown and the north end of Nanaimo.
